A Long Hot Summer
Aug 1, 2006 by Daniel H GoodeOrdinarily, RetroKitten would be on it's third content update of the year, but this has been a busy year for us. This is only our second content update and it's only through sheer force of will that its happening at all. It's not because the scene isn't active or vibrant enough, but because it's TOO active and vibrant.
As some of you know, I broke my ankle about five months ago, so I've been hobbling around and letting the photo shoots build up on my schedule. Fortunately, I'm out of the cast and doing at least two shoots a week. Feast or famine. That seems to be the rule.
RetroKitten also had the onus of being one of the main sponsors and organizers for the 2006 Ohio Alt Model Group Shoot and Social which pulled in around 140 people from around the midwest.
This month's cover art is actually a product of that. When Mandy, a gorgeous model here in Columbus met up with Terra Luna, a talented up and coming photographer and artist at the Group Shoot, we knew that magic would happen.
There is so much going on, that sometimes, our other projects fall by the wayside, but if you've been a member here at RetroKitten for any amount of time, you know that the work hasn't stopped, it's only slowed down. As evidence, we just released our new gallery viewer code, and added the ability for members to post five additional photos on their profiles.
In the meantime, we've even had time to travel and relax a little bit, but remember, our traveling is always work related, no matter how much fun we have.
In April, we manage to get to have Fun With the Fetish Factory where we had the opportunity to meet Slave Girl Anna Rose, a long time member of RetroKitten and quite possibly one of the warmest, nicest people we've had a chance to meet. She has a wonderful new book which we review this update and highly recommend.
In the mean time, expect minor improvements to the site, and lets cross our fingers that we can survive this slowly baking planet just long enough to leave some interesting artifacts for future civilizations.
