Art Revival

The staff at RetroKitten has been incredibly busy this year. You may not have noticed, but we've been making a ton of changes and enhancements to the site to make it faster and easier for you to use. We haven't spent as much time making it pretty. As a member, that's your job. Fortunately, you've been doing it in spades.

This summer, we are proud to feature a new Cover Girl, Athena Fatale! When we first saw Athena's work, we were floored. An incredible mix of exotic beauty and talent, Athena instantly jumped to the head of our list. As it turns out, she's well acqainted with a number of other RetroKitten favorites such as Angela Ryan and Viva Van Story. In fact, Viva is the talented photographer responsible for our gorgeous cover photo of Athena.

The alternative modeling scene has been heating up recently as well, with a fresh influx of group shoots and more talented photographers and models that you can shake a stick at (unless of course we have underestimated your stick shaking abilities).

Right here in Columbus Ohio, Laura Dark is girding herself for a flood of talent descending upon the city for the House of Nightmares Group Shoot which is going to be very heavily attended by a lot of midwest talent!

If that weren't enough, even the alternative lifestyle circuit is getting a kick in the pants. A number of RetroKitten staff will be attending the X-Ball in Detroit in the next month. Even more RetroKitten favorites will be on hand there, as it's being hosted by Vena and attended by Dika Suicide!

Our industry is still facing oppressive laws with federal changes to the 2257, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. People are getting fed up with their government attempting to legislate their art and their morality and we think its really only a matter of time before some of these douche-bags are no longer in power.
